EChO
Firewood Assistance Program

Firewood is available year-round, depending on supply, and is offered to EChO clients who use wood as their primary heat source.

Split firewood is available to active EChO clients who use wood as their primary or supplemental heat source. We don’t supply firewood for recreational uses like campfires, bonfires, firepits, etc. Clients are responsible for loading and transporting firewood.

At EChO, even firewood can be a lifeline. We have a wood lot on site that is managed by our food pantry and staffed by volunteer lumberjacks.  Firewood is available year-round, depending on supply, and is offered to registered EChO clients who use wood as their primary or secondary heat source.

Through the dedication of 15 volunteer lumberjacks, we process and deliver nearly 100 cords of firewood each year—all of it donated by generous homeowners and tree service companies.

This all-volunteer program provides split firewood at no cost to more than 100 households annually who rely on wood to heat their homes during Evergreen’s long, cold winters.

Together, we’re chopping, stacking, and delivering warmth—one cord at a time.

Do you have extra firewood you can share with your community? Find out more about how to donate your surplus firewood to EChO!
